Warman Home Centre is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Assistant for our busy retail lumber yard. The selected individual will work amongst our shipping and receiving department.
This position would be considered Full Time Temporary to fill a Mat Leave with potential to be permanent and for the right individual willing to expand into different roles within the organization additional opportunities maybe provided.
Responsibilities
- Organize paperwork such as Purchase Orders and Invoices
- Track delivery driver loads and destinations including customers’ names, shipping address, invoice numbers, and driver initials
- Tend to customer inquiries pertaining to deliveries and returns
- Assist in the Shipping and Receiving function
- Other general administrative duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities
- Twelve (12) months+ of office experience or post-secondary education relating to office administration/reception
- Shipping and Receiving experience would be a considerable asset
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics
- Strong customer service skills with an extremely positive attitude
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
