Senior Accountant
Warman Home Centre LP is an industry leading integrated home construction, manufacturing, and retail operation. We are currently looking for a full time permanent Senior Accountant, located in Warman, Saskatchewan.
Key responsibilities include:
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Accountant is part of a larger administrative team responsible for the efficient day to day operations of Warman Home Centre LP. The Senior Accountant contributes to the accurate and timely preparation of financial reporting by performing crucial monthly and annual accounting functions, analyzing financial information, and assisting with the budgeting and forecasting process.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage the Accounts Receivable function, including recording of receipts, allocation of customer payments and creation of receivable reports, including follow up with customers and salespeople
With the support of CFO assist with the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis.
Maintain internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards.
Assist in internal and external audits, annual inventory counts and providing necessary documentation and information.
Maintenance of fixed asset ledgers and depreciation entries
Prepare monthly entries for prepaid expenditures and reconciliations
Complete account reconciliations, and income statement variance analysis as assigned
Work with other divisions to enhance inter-division processes and to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards.
Assisting the CFO with mentoring and supporting junior accounting staff, providing position coverage, guidance and leadership as needed.

The successful individual will have the following qualifications:
A CPA designation or in the process of obtaining.
A bachelor’s degree in accounting from a recognized institution.
A minimum of 3-5 years accounting experience in a senior-level position required.
Understanding and ability to apply ASPE.
Proficient in finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
Advanced accounting software and Microsoft Excel skills.
Demonstrated professional leadership abilities.
